The Treatment Process

We believe in a step down process for addiction treatment. Quality therapy and a slow integration back into life increase success.

The Steps to Recovery

The Addiction Treatment Process Step 1: PHP

The partial hospitalization program (PHP) is the first step in the addiction treatment process. Providence Recovery Center uses the “Florida Model” of partial hospitalization which is very similar to inpatient treatment in other areas of the country. This is the highest level of care and clients attend a minimum of twenty-five hours of clinical care per week. Client’s also reside in recovery residences and are supervised twenty four hours a day. At Providence Recovery Center we take clients on supervised outings such as beach days, snorkeling, kayaking, movies, twelve-step meetings, and much more to allow them a break from the intensive addiction treatment therapy.

  • Supervised outings such as beach, movies, kayaking

  • 25+ hours per week of clinical care

The Addiction Treatment Process Step 2: IOP

The next step in the addition treatment process is the intensive outpatient program (IOP). While in the intensive outpatient program clients will attend groups three days a week for a minimum of nine hours and will meet with their individual therapist once a week. Clients enter the intensive outpatient program when the clinical team feels like they are ready to start re-integrating back into life but still need supervision and support. While in the intensive outpatient program clients are encouraged to live in a recovery residence or “halfway house” and begin looking for work as well as attend twelve-step meetings independently.

  • Second step in the addiction treatment process

  • Look for work and attend twevle-meetings independantly

  • Three groups per week and individual counseling

Outpatient (OP) is the final step in the addiction treatment process at Providence Recovery Center. While in outpatient clients will atten one group a week for a minimum of three hours and one individual counseling session. The clinical team moves a client to outpatient when they are making excellent progress and are ready to take the final steps to independence. Clients in outpatient are encouraged to remain living at a recovery residence, be employed full-time, and attend twelve-step meetings on a regular basis.

  • Clients can work full-time and have independence

  • One group per week and one individual counseling session
